How do I send an email campaign to my customers?

Compose it under Email > Campaigns, pick who gets it, send yourself a test, then send or schedule.

Campaigns live under Email → Campaigns. A campaign is one email to one group of your customers — a seasonal offer, a new service, a workshop update. Email campaigns are part of the Reachable plan; on Free or Found the page opens and shows what the tier unlocks instead of the composer (dealer-plans).

Before the first real send, verify your sending domain under Website → Email. A campaign scheduled from an unverified domain never leaves — it drops back to Draft (dealer-email-deliverability).

How do I compose the campaign?

Composing a campaign starts with New campaign on the Campaigns page.

  1. Pick a starting point. A new campaign opens on the starter panel: Start from scratch, Layouts (empty one-, two- and three-column scaffolds), Designed templates already seeded with your logo and colour, and Your saved templates if you have any (dealer-campaign-builder).
  2. Fill in the details. Name is internal — your customers never see it. Subject and Preheader are what they see in the inbox; the preheader is the line shown next to the subject. Reply-to is optional and decides where answers land.
  3. Build the content. Drag blocks from Layout (sections and column splits) and Content (Heading, Text, Button, Image, Divider, Spacer). Save as template keeps the design for later.
  4. Choose the audience under Send to. The default option is labelled All active dealers and means every customer account linked to your workspace; a saved audience narrows it (dealer-email-audiences).
  5. Save draft. Until the draft is saved, the page says so: test sending, scheduling and sending only unlock on a saved draft.
Details first, then the starting point for the design.

An unsubscribe footer is added to every send automatically — you do not add one.

How do I test it before sending?

Test the campaign from the Review & send card at the bottom of a saved draft. Send test to me mails the campaign to your own address; the small arrow beside it opens a box to send the test to any other address. Read it on a phone, because most of your customers will.

How do I send or schedule it?

Sending happens on the same Review & send card, which also shows the audience and its current recipient count.

  • Send now asks for confirmation, then starts immediately and takes you to the campaign's stats.
  • Schedule for later takes a date and time; Schedule parks the campaign until then, and Cancel schedule pulls it back.
Test, schedule and send all live on one card.

Recipients are resolved at the moment of sending, not when you schedule — a customer who unsubscribes in between is left out.

What do the campaign statuses mean?

The status badge on the Campaigns list is one of six.

  • Draft — editable, not sent. Only drafts can be edited or scheduled.
  • Scheduled — waiting for its send time. Cancel it to return it to draft.
  • Sending — going out in batches right now.
  • Sent — finished. The content is locked and shown read-only.
  • Cancelled — a schedule you pulled back.
  • Stopped by guard — sending was aborted part-way because bounce or complaint rates crossed the safety threshold. The remaining recipients were not emailed.
The status badge, then the counts that only a finished send fills in.

Drafts and cancelled campaigns can be deleted from the row menu; anything else cannot.

Why did my scheduled campaign turn back into a draft?

A campaign returns to Draft when a check fails on the way out, and the portal does not email you about it — you notice it in the list. The causes:

  • your sending domain is not verified;
  • the content scored too high on the automatic spam check;
  • the saved audience it targeted was deleted;
  • nobody matched the audience at send time;
  • the send would pass your monthly recipient allowance.

The allowance is 2,000 recipients a month on Reachable. A send that would cross it is stopped before it starts, so a campaign never half-sends. Fix the cause and send again.

Still stuck?

If a campaign will not leave Draft and none of the causes above apply, open a ticket with the campaign name, the time you tried to send, and the recipient count shown on the Review & send card (getting-help).
