How do I read a campaign's results?

The stats page counts the whole send and lists every recipient with their result and why an email did not land.

Open the campaign under Email → Campaigns and choose its stats. The top of the page counts the whole send — recipients, sent, delivered, opened, clicked, unsubscribed, bounced and complained — and below it the Recipients table lists every person the campaign went to, with their result, the reason when the email did not land, and when it was sent, opened and clicked. Results fill in as the mail servers report back, usually within minutes of the send.

What does each result in the Recipients table mean?

Each recipient shows one result, the strongest one reported so far:

  • Queued — not sent yet; the campaign is still working through its list.
  • Sent — no report yet — handed to the mail service; the recipient's mail server has not answered yet. A Reason here means the server asked to try again later and the mail service is retrying.
  • Delivered — the recipient's mail server accepted the email.
  • Opened — delivered and opened.
  • Clicked — delivered and a link in it was followed.
  • Bounced — the mail server refused the email. When the reason starts with "blocked:", the server refused the sender rather than the address — see Domain health.
  • Dropped — the mail service did not attempt delivery, usually because the address bounced or complained before.
  • Complained — the recipient marked the email as spam.
  • Unsubscribed — the recipient unsubscribed from this campaign.
  • Not sent — the send failed or was stopped before this recipient.

How do I find the people who did or did not open it?

Use the Show filter above the table. Besides each result, it has Opened and Clicked, which list everyone who opened or clicked, whatever happened after. The page shows 25 recipients at a time.

Why is "Opened" lower than what people tell me?

An open is only counted when the email client loads the images in the email. People who read with images off are never counted as opened, and some mail apps load images on the recipient's behalf. Treat opens as a trend between your campaigns, and clicks as the reliable signal.

What happens to bounced and complained addresses?

They are handled for you. A refused address and a spam complaint leave your sendable audience, and an unsubscribe removes the person from your future campaigns, so your next send does not repeat the damage. A blocked refusal does not remove the address: the address is fine, and it receives mail again once the block is lifted.

What if the results look wrong?

If every recipient stays on Sent — no report yet for more than an hour, the delivery reports are not reaching the portal. Open a support ticket with the campaign name and the time it was sent.
