Orders

Can I place an order for one of my dealers?

Yes — New order → For a customer builds the order in the same wizard, billed to their monthly invoice.

Yes. On your Work queue, open New order → For a customer, pick the dealer (or partner tuner) from the searchable list, and build the order for them in the same wizard your dealers use — upload the original file, identify the car, pick the tune and options, capture the read details. The order lands in your own queue as work to do, but it is the customer's order: it is theirs to see and theirs to be billed for.

Who can be ordered for

Only customers you bill by monthly invoice can be selected. The invoice cycle is the one way to settle an order the customer did not place themselves, so the picker lists your active dealers and partners on monthly invoicing and nobody else — a credits or pay-per-file customer does not appear. To order for one of those, move them to monthly invoicing first.

What is different from a normal order

Two things, both on the review step:

  • The payment rail is fixed. The order bills to the customer's next monthly invoice, on the payment terms they actually agreed — the review step shows who you are ordering for and their net terms, and offers no other way to pay.
  • You can set the price. A price field lets you override the catalogue price for a job agreed over the counter: leave it blank to charge the catalogue price, or enter the amount excluding VAT (value added tax) — that amount is what prints on the customer's invoice line.

What the customer sees

The order appears for the dealer exactly like one they placed themselves — same order page, same conversation, same file downloads — and the charge lands on their monthly invoice for the cycle it is delivered in. Nothing marks it out to them as unusual; the difference is only who typed it in.

If the customer you need is not listed

The picker only offers active dealer and partner accounts billed by monthly invoice. Check the account's status and billing arrangement under your dealers page first. If an eligible customer still does not appear, open a support ticket naming the customer and what the picker showed.
