How do I look up a vehicle before ordering?

Vehicle lookup resolves a plate, a search or a browse to the exact car and shows the stages and gains for it.

Open Vehicle lookup in the portal. It answers "what can be done with this car" before you upload anything, with three ways to the same vehicle:

  • Plate / VIN — decode a registration or a VIN (vehicle identification number) straight to the exact car.
  • Search — type the make, model or specification.
  • Browse — drill down make → model → generation → engine by hand.

What the result shows

A decoded plate shows the car itself — engine, emission class, first registration, VIN and the rest of the registry facts — and, when the engine is matched in the catalogue, the tuning gains: each available stage with its extra power and torque, and the price where pricing is shown. Add-on options available for the engine are listed alongside. From search or browse, picking the engine shows the same stages-with-gains panel.

Confirming a looked-up vehicle hands you straight into a new order with that engine already selected, so the lookup flows into ordering rather than being a separate errand.

What does "Estimated" next to a stage mean?

A stage marked Estimated carries figures calculated from the car's factory specification, not measured on that engine — it appears when the car is identified but no tuning data is held for its engine yet. The estimate shows what a remap typically delivers so the lookup is not a dead end, but quote it to your customer as an indication, never as a measured result.

An engine can also resolve with no standard stages listed at all; the panel says so, and you can still start an order for it and describe what you need.

No. Vehicle lookup identifies a car and what can be done with it; DTC search identifies a fault code (dtc-lookup). Use both before a tricky order: the lookup names the stage, the code names the problem.

If the car will not resolve

If a plate or VIN does not decode, switch to Browse and drill down to the car by hand — the result is the same. If the exact engine is missing there too, start the order anyway and put the vehicle details in the order notes, or open a support ticket naming the plate or VIN you tried.
