How do I show my Google reviews on my website?

Connect your Google Business Profile under Website → Reviews, then add the Google reviews block to a page.

Your real Google rating and reviews can render on your own site. It is two steps: connect your Google Business Profile under Website → Reviews, then add the Google reviews block to a page. Once connected, the reviews refresh by themselves once a day — there is nothing to keep up to date by hand.

Showing Google reviews is a plan feature. Where it is not included, the Reviews entry is locked and the lock names the tier that carries it.

How do I connect my Google Business Profile?

Press Connect Google on the Reviews page. You are sent to Google to sign in and approve the access, then returned to this page.

Sign in with the Google account that manages your Business Profile. That is the single thing that goes wrong most often: a personal Google account that can see the business but does not manage it will complete sign-in and then have no business to offer.

If that account manages more than one business, the page asks "Which business should we show reviews for?" and lists them with their addresses — pick the one whose reviews belong on this site. With only one business, it is selected for you.

When it works, the page shows a green tick with your business name and the Google account it came from, plus a Disconnect button.

If Google accepts the connection but the business list cannot be loaded, the page keeps the connection and shows the error. Follow that message; repeatedly granting access does not fix an unavailable Google service. A connection that needs a business selected is different from a revoked connection that asks you to sign in again.

How do the reviews get onto a page?

Connecting supplies the reviews; it does not place them. Open your site in the page editor and add the Google reviews block where you want them (editing-pages).

The block's settings are:

  • Source — Connected profile uses the profile you connected here. Maps embed keeps a plain Google Maps iframe instead, for a site that was built that way before; it needs a Google Maps embed URL (from Google's Share → Embed a map) and ignores the connection entirely.
  • Eyebrow, Title, Subtitle — the heading above the reviews. The title starts as "What drivers say on Google".
  • Reviews shown — how many review cards to render. Six by default.
  • Rating summary — show or hide the "4.8 ★ from 127 reviews" line above the cards.
  • Google reviews link and Link label — the link out to your full Google reviews page.

Each card always shows the reviewer's name, when they wrote it and a link to the review on Google. Those three are required by Google wherever a review is displayed, so they are not optional settings.

Can I hide a bad review?

No. The block shows the reviews Google returns for your profile, in Google's order, and there is no moderation, editing or per-review hiding on this page — that would misrepresent your rating. The only controls you have are how many reviews to show and whether to show the rating summary. If a review breaks Google's own policies, dispute it in Google Business Profile; when Google removes it, it disappears here at the next refresh.

Why do my reviews look a day out of date?

Because they are cached for a day. Your site would otherwise call Google on every page view, so the reviews are stored for 24 hours and served from there. A new review appears on your site within a day of appearing on Google. If Google is briefly unreachable, the last good set keeps rendering rather than your homepage going blank.

What does "Google access has stopped working" mean?

That warning means the grant you approved is no longer valid — usually because the connection was removed from your Google account's security settings, or the account lost access to the Business Profile. Press Reconnect Google and sign in again with the managing account. Your site keeps showing the last cached reviews meanwhile, so reconnecting promptly is what stops them going stale.

If reviews still do not appear on the site

Work through it in this order: the Reviews page shows a connected business; the page you edited contains the Google reviews block with Source set to Connected profile; and the page has been published, since edits stay in the draft until you publish. If all three are true and the section renders empty, open a support ticket with your site address, the page the block is on, and the business name shown on the Reviews page.
