How do I connect my own domain?

Point two DNS records at the platform and your site serves on your domain with automatic TLS.

Until you connect a domain, your published site serves on its platform address (your-workspace.sites.…). Connecting your own domain happens under Website → Custom domain.

The steps

  1. Enter the domain (for example www.yourbrand.com) on the Domains page.

  2. The page shows the exact DNS records to create at your registrar — copy them precisely; the values are specific to your site.

Copy the value exactly — it is specific to your site.
  3. DNS propagates (minutes to a few hours, occasionally longer). The Domains page polls and shows the state; when the records are seen, the certificate is issued automatically and the site switches to HTTPS on your domain.

Both steps go green on their own once DNS resolves.

Nothing needs to be emailed or uploaded — TLS is automatic, renewal included.

Apex or www?

Connect the host you want visitors to use. If you run your main company site elsewhere and want the tuning site on a subdomain (tuning.yourbrand.com), that works exactly the same way and never touches your existing site.

Do not delete the DNS records later "to clean up" — that is the domain disconnecting itself. If the site suddenly serves the platform address again, check DNS first.

What happens to the platform address?

It keeps working as a fallback and simply redirects visitors to your domain once one is connected, so old links never die.

Removing or changing the domain

Remove the domain on the same page (the site returns to its platform address), or enter a new one — the DNS routine repeats for the new name. Email sending domains are separate — a website domain here does not verify your sending domain; that is sending-domain.
