How do I add a blog to my website?

Set up a blog from a template under Content, write articles with your website blocks, and publish or schedule them.

Open Content in the menu, choose one of the three templates and start writing. Every article is built with the same blocks as your website pages, appears at /blog on your site, and gets the information search engines need without any extra work.

Content sits next to Website in the menu. Website is where you build your site's pages; Content is where you write articles for it. It has four tabs: Articles, Categories, Authors and Settings.

The blog is part of the Growth plan and higher for tuners, and of the website plans from €59 a month for dealers. On a plan without it, Content shows what the blog includes and how to upgrade. If your plan later changes to one without the blog, your articles are kept, but your site stops showing them until you upgrade again.

Which template should I choose?

The template sets up three things at once: the blog page (/blog), the category pages, and the starting layout of every new article.

  • Workshop journal suits tips, explainers and how-tos: a large cover photo, the main points first, a table of contents beside long articles, and the author at the end.
  • Tuning case study suits customer cars and project builds: the car's photo, the vehicle, its power before and after, a gallery, and a button to request the same tune.
  • News and updates suits company news, new tools and opening hours: a short text header and a list of updates by date.

To see a template at full size before you choose, click Preview under it. The preview shows the article, the blog page and the category page in your own colours, filled with sample articles and stock photos, and you can switch between the templates there. Use this template selects the one you are looking at.

You can switch template later under Content → Settings. Switching replaces the blog page and category page layouts and the layout for new articles. Articles you already wrote keep their own blocks.

How do I write an article?

  1. Under Content → Articles, choose New article and give it a title.
  2. On Write, change the example blocks into your own text and photos. The Blog group holds the blocks made for articles, such as Article text, Figure, Callout, Key takeaways, Power before and after, and Vehicle card. All your website blocks are available below it.
  3. On Article settings, add a cover photo, a short excerpt, a category and, if you like, tags and an author.
  4. Choose Publish.

Save keeps your changes without showing them on your site. A published article shows the latest saved version.

Your articles are written in your website's language.

How do I schedule an article?

Choose Publish, then Schedule, and pick the date and time. The article shows as Scheduled in your list and appears on your site at that moment. Until then, visitors and search engines cannot see it.

What are categories and authors for?

A category groups related articles, for example "Diesel tuning" or "Customer projects". Each category gets its own page at /blog/category/<name>, and the category tabs on your blog page link to them. Create them under Content → Categories.

An author is the person an article is credited to. Add authors under Content → Authors, pick one in the article's settings and switch on Show the author on the article. With the switch off, the article is credited to your company.

What do search engines see?

Every article, the blog page and every category page get structured data automatically: information in the page that tells search engines what it is. You never type it yourself. It always matches what the page shows, because it is built from the same title, dates, cover photo, author and category.

  • An article is described as a blog article, with its category and a breadcrumb trail (Home, Blog, the category, the article). The breadcrumb can appear in search results.
  • A category page lists the articles on it, in the same order, with its own breadcrumb.

You can see the exact data an article sends on its Search and sharing tab. There you can also set a different title and description for search results, and an image for when the article is shared.

Published articles, the blog page and the category pages are added to your site's sitemap. Your site also has an RSS feed at /blog/rss.xml.

How do I show my latest articles on another page?

Open the page under Website → Site editor and add the Latest blog articles block, for example on your home page. It fills itself with your newest published articles, so a new article shows up there without editing the page again. In the block's settings you choose:

  • Layout: Grid shows cards side by side. Carousel shows one row that visitors swipe on a phone or scroll with arrows. Highlight the newest shows the newest article large, with the next ones listed beside it. List shows the articles as rows with their date.
  • Cards side by side: 2, 3 or 4 cards across on a computer, for the grid and the carousel. Phones show one card at a time.
  • Number of articles: from 1 to 12.
  • Category: every category, or only one.
  • Excerpt and Link to all articles: show or hide the short summary under each title and the link to your blog page.

In the editor the block shows your own published articles. Until you have published one, it shows example articles with a note that only you can see; on your site the block stays hidden until there is an article to show.

How do I add the blog to my menu?

You don't need to: once the blog is set up, a Blog link is added at the end of your site's menu. You see it under Website → Pages, at the bottom of the menu and in the menu preview. To leave it out of the menu, switch off In the menu there, or Show Blog in the site menu under Content → Settings. The blog stays reachable at /blog.

Before your blog is set up, Website → Pages shows an Add a blog row that takes you to Content.

What if something is not working?

  • Saving fails with "Another article already uses this web address": two articles cannot share an address. Change the address on Search and sharing.
  • An article does not appear on the site: check that it shows Published in the article list, not Draft or Scheduled.
  • /blog shows your old page: the blog page replaces a page called "blog" only once you have chosen a template under Content.
  • The blog disappeared from your site after a plan change: the blog is part of the plans named above. Your articles are still in Content; upgrading shows them again.

If none of this helps, open a ticket from Support and include the article's title and its web address.
