How do I use site variables?
Type {company_name} or a variable of your own in any page text; your live site shows the value. Change it once and every page follows.

A site variable is a name in curly braces — {company_name}, {founders} —
that you type into any text on your website. Visitors never see the braces:
your live site and the preview show the value instead. Change the value once
and every page that uses it follows, in every language.
Which variables are built in?
Your company details fill themselves in from your company profile:
{company_name}— your legal company name (your workspace name if that is empty){company_address}— your address{kvk}— your Chamber of Commerce number{vat}— your VAT number{support_email},{support_phone}and{website}
Website → Settings → Site variables shows what each one currently says. To change one, edit your company profile; your pages update on their own, with no need to publish again. These names are reserved, so you can't redefine them.
How do I add my own?
Under Website → Settings → Site variables, choose Add variable, give it
a name and a value — for example founders and the names of the people who
started the business — and Save variables. Names start with a lowercase
letter and may contain lowercase letters, digits, spaces and underscores, so
support hours works as well as support_hours.
A variable can say something different per language: open Different value per language and fill in the languages you need. A language you leave empty uses the main value.
Your own variables are part of your site draft: they go live the next time you publish, like any other change.
What if a variable has no value?
Text that uses a variable nothing fills shows the braces exactly as written, so a missing value is easy to spot. The Variables button in the page editor and the publish section of Settings both list the pages where that happens, with the names to add. Publishing is never blocked — the warning is there so you can fix it first.
A few blocks count or price things themselves and use their own braces, such
as {count} in a shop block. Those aren't site variables and aren't reported.
