How do I set up the AI agent?
Enable the agent, connect it to the platform, then switch on the channels it may answer.

Setting up the agent is three steps in Workspace → AI Agent: enable it, let it connect to the platform, then choose which channels it may answer on. Nothing is live until you switch a channel on, so you can configure everything first and open the doors last.
Step 1 — enable the agent
Press Enable the agent. The status changes to Enabled (not yet connected) while the platform provisions your agent, then to Connected. Connecting takes a moment and happens on its own; you do not need to wait on the page.
Until it says Connected, the Knowledge tab tells you knowledge becomes available once the agent is connected. That is expected — documents need somewhere to be indexed.
Step 2 — what the connector key is for
The Connector key is how the agent proves it is yours when it asks the platform for your prices, opening hours and order data. It is shown once, at the moment it is created, and cannot be retrieved afterwards. Copy it then.
You only need the key in hand if you are wiring the agent into something yourself. For the normal setup the platform holds it and you never touch it.
Rotate key issues a new one and the old key stops working immediately. Rotate if you think the key has been seen by someone it shouldn't have.
Step 3 — switch on the channels
Under Channels each place the agent may answer switches on separately:
- Website enquiries — the agent answers forms and the vehicle finder on your site.
- WhatsApp — needs a number connected first; see How do I connect WhatsApp?.
A channel that is off means the agent never answers there, whatever else is configured. This is the switch to reach for if you want the agent to stop right now.
What happens to the settings I change?
Your facts, guardrails and tone are pushed to the agent when you save them, and the platform reads them back to confirm they landed. The Setup tab shows Facts last synced with the time of the last confirmed push — if that time is not moving after you edit a fact, the push is not landing and support should look at it.
Should I let it reply straight away?
No. Start in suggest mode, where the agent drafts and you send, and watch it for a week before letting it answer on its own. See How do I approve replies before they're sent?.
The agent is enabled but never answers
Check in this order: the channel is switched on, the status says Connected, and — for WhatsApp — a number is connected. If all three are right and it is still silent, check your plan: the agent is a Max feature, and it switches itself off when the workspace is on a plan without it. See What does my plan include?.
