How does prepaid credit with a partner work?
A prepaid balance held with one partner tuner — bought on their partner page, spent when you accept their quotes, non-refundable.

Prepaid partner credit is a balance you hold with one partner tuner: you pay up front for a pack of credits, and that balance then funds the work you buy from that partner. It is the tuner-to-tuner version of the credit wallet your own dealers hold with you — per partner, never a shared pool.
Where do I buy partner credit?
Partner credit is bought on the partner's own page, under Workspace → Partners. The credits card there shows what you currently hold with that partner and the packs they sell, each with its money price in your currency and the price per credit — any partner discount you have is already applied, so the number shown is exactly what you will pay. When some of your balance is reserved on open orders, the card says so: how many credits are free and how many are held against which open work.
What am I agreeing to when I confirm?
Buying is a deliberate two-step: clicking a pack never goes straight to checkout. A confirmation dialog first spells out the charge and the two hard rules of prepaid partner credit:
- The credit can only be spent with that partner, and it is applied when you accept one of their quotes (quote-requests).
- Prepaid partner credits are non-refundable.
Only after confirming do you reach the secure checkout, and the credits land in your balance with that partner when the payment settles.
The card says I can't buy yet — why?
Whether you can buy from a partner at all is checked up front, so the card shows the reason — and the fix — instead of failing when you click. The blocked states:
- Your VAT number is missing. Cross-border sales between businesses need a VAT (value added tax) number; add yours under Account → Billing.
- Your VAT number could not be verified. Check the number under Account → Billing and try again.
- VAT verification is temporarily unavailable. VIES, the EU's VAT register, is down; nothing is wrong with your number — try again shortly.
- The partner has not finished setting up payments. They still have to complete payment onboarding before they can sell credits; there is nothing to fix on your side.
- The pack has no price in your currency. Partners price their packs per currency; ask the partner to add a price in yours.
In every case the purchase is refused before any checkout opens — nothing is charged, and buying works immediately once the cause is fixed.
Still can't top up?
If the blocked message does not clear after the fix — your VAT number verifies elsewhere, or the partner says their payment setup is complete — open a support ticket naming the partner and the message the credits card shows. If you paid and the balance did not update within a few minutes, send the approximate time of the payment; every payment is tracked and can be reconciled.
