Roles and parties
- Tuner — the business that produces modified files and runs a workspace on the platform. Also called the supplier from a dealer's point of view.
- Dealer — a garage or reseller that orders tuning work from a tuner.
- Workspace — a tuner's storefront on the platform: prices, branding, dealers, orders and website in one place.
- Partner — another tuner a workspace can delegate orders to.
Files and vehicles
- ECU — engine control unit; the computer in the vehicle whose software is modified.
- Original / original read — the unmodified file read from the vehicle's ECU, uploaded when placing an order.
- Modified file — the tuned file the supplier delivers back.
- Master file — an editable, unencrypted file for master tuning tools.
- Slave file — an encrypted file usable only with slave tuning tools.
- Stage (Stage 1, Stage 2, …) — a tuning level; higher stages change more and may need hardware changes.
- DTC — diagnostic trouble code; an error code the vehicle stores. DTC removal is a common order option.
- VIN — vehicle identification number, the vehicle's unique 17-character code.
Money and billing
- Credits — the prepaid unit tuning work is priced in. Credits carry no currency; money equals credits times the supplier's rate per currency.
- Credit kinds — slave and master credits (or one general kind), matching the file types above.
- Billing currency — the currency an organisation is invoiced in.
- Settlement currency — the currency a tuner's payout account settles in; pay-now orders charge in it by default.
- Pay-per-file — paying a single order at checkout instead of with credits.
- Monthly invoice — delivered orders accrue and are billed as one invoice when the month closes, on agreed net terms.
- Net terms — the number of days after the invoice date before payment is due.
- Credit note — the accounting document a refund produces, referencing the original invoice.
- VAT / VIES — value-added tax, and the EU service for validating a VAT number; cross-border business invoices with a validated number use the reverse charge.
Orders
- Revision — a correction to a delivered file, requested and handled inside the same order.
- Escalation — raising an order to platform support alongside the supplier.
- Delegation — a tuner passing an order to a partner tuner at an agreed split, invisible to the dealer.
- Quote request — one tuner asking another to price a job before any order exists; the accepted quote becomes the order.
- Delivery integrity check — the automatic comparison of a delivered file against the order's original. Ok: compared byte for byte, nothing tripped. Suspect: something looked off — an unchanged file, a different size, almost no bytes changed, or far more changed than a tune normally would — so the delivery is flagged for the supplier and support to review; it still reaches the dealer. Not applicable: an encrypted delivery, which cannot be compared.
Plans and features
- Entitlement — one switch or allowance your subscription grants: a feature that is on or off, or a metered monthly limit. Locked buttons and usage ceilings are both entitlements at work.
- Trial — the evaluation period a new workspace starts on; when it ends without a plan, ordering pauses until one is chosen.
Website, email and the agent
- Sending domain — the domain your email is authorised to send from. Verifying it (DNS records) is what makes mail come from your brand and reach inboxes.
- Enquiry — a lead from your website's vehicle finder: a visitor, their exact car, and their question, as a two-way email thread.
- Suggest mode — the agent autonomy setting where every AI-written reply is held as a draft for your approval instead of being sent.
- Service window — WhatsApp's 24-hour rule: a business may reply freely only within 24 hours of the customer's last message; afterwards the conversation waits for the customer.
- Handoff — the agent deciding a conversation needs a human and passing the thread to your inbox with the reason.
